Terms of service

BCN Student is a self-service software service. It prepares forms, checklists and summaries from information you supply. It does not provide legal representation or binding immigration advice, and it does not submit applications or book appointments. See our scope of service page, which forms part of these terms.

You need an account, created with your email address, to download your folder. Each account’s first application is free, with every feature included. Each further application is a single payment of €19.99, IVA included: the price shown before you pay is the price you pay, and the invoice we issue states the base, the IVA (21 %) and the total. There is no subscription and nothing renews.

Government fees — including the Modelo 790 Código 012 state fee — are set by the Spanish authorities, paid by you directly, and are never included in our price. We never collect fees on the government’s behalf.

Creating several accounts to obtain more than one free application is not permitted, and we may decline to produce the folder for an application we reasonably believe was obtained that way.

As a consumer contracting at a distance you normally have 14 days to withdraw without giving a reason (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007). Your folder is a digital service supplied immediately. Before you pay, you are asked to confirm that you want it produced straight away and that you understand you lose the right of withdrawal once it has been delivered (Art. 103.m). The free application involves no payment.

You must provide accurate, complete information, read every line of each form before signing it, and attend in person with the originals. Information you give becomes a declaration you sign in your own name. Using the service to prepare an application with false information or falsified documents is prohibited and may constitute a criminal offence under Spanish law.

We are liable for our own errors: if the software prints on a form something different from what you entered correctly, we will correct it and, for a paid application, refund the price if we cannot. We are not liable for decisions of Spanish authorities, appointment availability, changes in law or procedure after the date a requirement was last checked, consequences of inaccurate information you supplied, or your failure to attend or file on time.

Our total liability is limited to the price you paid for the application concerned, except where liability cannot be limited by law — including death, personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence, none of which we attempt to exclude.

We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted access. We may change features, the procedures we support and the price of future applications; a change never alters what you have already paid for. A procedure we do not yet support is refused rather than guessed.

If you pay for an application and the folder cannot be produced because of a fault on our side, you get a full refund. If you download a folder containing an error caused by the software, you get a correction or a full refund. Refunds go to the original payment method, and a corrective invoice (factura rectificativa) is issued.

Processing is governed by our privacy notice, including the automatic deletion of applications that sit unused for 30 days.

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Consumer disputes may be brought before the courts of the consumer’s domicile, and you may use the Spanish consumer arbitration system (Sistema Arbitral de Consumo) or the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
